Create or Join a Workspace
Workspaces in Kelp are a great way to bring people together for collaboration and teamwork. Whether you’re working on different projects, teams, or topics, you can create as many unique workspaces as you need. Let’s explore how to create a new workspace or join an existing one.
Creating a new workspace
- On the main page in the left sidebar, click the big “+” button (Create workspace).
- You'll be asked to choose the type of workspace you want to create: "Personal" or "Team". Learn more about workspace types on Workspace Basics.
- Click the “Create” workspace button to finish.
- If you choose "Team," click "Next" and give your workspace a name. Then click "Create workspace" to complete the process.
After completing these steps, you’ll be taken directly to your newly created workspace. To navigate to this workspace in the future, simply click on its icon in the left sidebar.
Joining an existing workspace
You can only see and access workspaces that you’re a member of. If you want to join an existing workspace that someone else has created, you’ll need to ask the workspace owner or an administrator to invite you.
Once you’ve been invited, the workspace will become available and appear in your left sidebar, making it easy for you to access and collaborate with your team members.
