Keyboard shortcuts

Kelp is aiming to cover all of its actions with keyboard shortcuts so you can do everything you need without ever touching your mouse. We are not there yet, but you can help us to get there faster! Let us know which shortcuts you need the most.

You'll see cmd or ctrl used a lot below. This indicates or cmd on Mac and ^ or ctrl on PC (Windows and Linux).

Most popular#

You can work like a Kelp power user if you remember just these few commands:

  • shift + ? - the mightiest of all shortcuts is the shortcut to see the list of all shortcuts!
  • cmd + \ - toggle the right hand side development panel.
  • space - open Settings dialog for selected component, widget, group or connection;
  • esc - close any dialog or reset any selection;
  • cmd + z - undo the last action;
  • cmd + shift + z - redo last undone action;

Schema Editor#

  • cmd + click - to select multiple selectable items (components, groups, connections);
  • cmd + scroll - to zoom in and out the canvas in development mode;
  • cmd + c - copy selected items;
  • cmd + v - paste copied items;
  • cmd + x - cut copied items;
  • del - delete selected items;
  • cmd + / - open search box;
  • cmd + alt + / - run any command;
  • shift + 1 - zoom to fit all components to the screen;
  • shift + 2 - zoom to fit just selected components to the screen;
  • cmd + 6 - group selected components;
  • cmd + shift + 6 - ungroup components;

Layout Editor#

  • cmd + c - copy selected widget;
  • cmd + v - paste copied widget;
